THE 63rd ANNUAL TONY AWARDS JUST HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!
The Tony Awards everyone!
The grandest night in all the live-long year!
The night when the best and brightest New York has to offer is finally available somewhere other than on my computer screen, in tiny clips, and photos, from Broadway.com.....*sad*
This is the night all theatre geeks live for.
The Christmas of our year.
The mecca of our hearts.
When the world gets us down, we need only to simply close our eyes, click our heels three times, and turn our thoughts towards Tony.
*sigh*

The Awards this year were hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
*Love again!*
Who is a theatrical rock star in his own right.The show was better this year than in has been for a long time.
They finally got back to what the people want, and what the people want is to see as much performance time as can be squeezed in while still calling it an 'awards show'. lol.
This year, was the most content of that kind they've had in forever and it was WONDERFUL!
The highlights for me were when Titus' Burgess' mic didn't work for the first line of 'Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat' and a techie had to sprint on stage and toss him a hand-held mic before the second line began.
It was a very wtf moment.
"Wait! Did what I think just happened, just happen?! BWAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!"
But Titus' handled it like a champ and worked that hand mic like a pro.
The performance by 'Hair' near the end of the telecast also ROCKED!
It was amazing.
The costumes were amazing, the performers were amazing, the energy was amazing.
That has got to be the most fun show to be in on Broadway right now.
Glorious.
Another highlight was when Alice Ripley (spoiler!) was accepting her Tony for best actress in a musical she had like a freak out and started screaming in this epic 'battle cry' fashion this Kennedy quote about leaving behind something spiritual.
It was insane.
I'm pretty sure she was legitimately crazy for about 30 sec there.
And then she went back to normal like nothing had even happened and continued her Tony speech thanking her family and crew like a not crazy person.
Crazy awkward.
Not gonna lie.
The last highlight I'm gonna toss you guys is the ending song sung by Neil as the credits were rolling.
He is amazing.
Well, a thunderstorm is outside my window and I need to get off the computer, so to sum up.
